David Matheson

David cofounded SmartOrg, a Silicon Valley based company that connects Innovation and Finance. Its portfolio evaluation platform and consulting services help companies align on how to drive upside and on where an how much to invest. With decades of experience, David has helped senior management of firms in the United States and Europe improve their results from portfolio management, product development, innovation, R & D, capital investment and strategy. He is co-author of the bestselling book, The Smart Organization: Creating Value through Strategic R & D (Harvard Business School Press) and has authored numerous articles on innovation, portfolio management and decision making. He a Fellow with the Society of Decision Professionals, an educator in Strategic Portfolio Management, and involved advising numerous startups. He holds a Ph. D. in Decision Analysis from Stanford University.
