Jon Mauer is Director of Pfizer Global Medical Impact Assessment where he is responsible for optimizing Pfizer medicines’ Benefit-Risk, accelerating medical decision-making, and increasing the value of Benefit-Risk information to patients.  His 20 year decision analysis career with Pfizer and Bristol-Myers Squibb enabled strategic decisions in R&D, portfolio management, business development, and public policy.  Since 2016, Jon has focused on advancing the science and practice of benefit risk decision making within Pfizer and has contributed to the Innovative Medicines Initiative study of patient preferences in decision making during the medicine life cycle.  Prior to joining the pharmaceutical industry, Jon practiced clinical pharmacy at Beth Israel Medical Center and the U.S. Public Health Service, Indian Health Service, Navajo Area.
